| Holding up the sky |
Holding up the Blue
Thoughts and reflections on the things I do to seek and nurture the meaning I find in the moments that make up life. It's a whole bunch-a-stuff.

| "Letting me through, letting me go!" |
And I will always be
There is no real need
To be done
Or to have begun
For now, is fine
no real time
Let go the mind
Everything is motion
Spins the Spiral
I am the flow
No need to know
Or fear
What's was far is near
You speak I hear
I cry I grow
It's always letting go
sometimes you just write and wait for it to make sense.

Cloudy Waters |
This is a Photo taken with a cell phone. Clouds reflecting in the water enhanced by a filter that Out lined the ripples on the water. The straight lines at the bottom are vibrations from my kayak. I really enjoy the reflected world.

Eye See |
I keep finding myself
caught in the movement
of line and color.
Sometimes I define myself as the line,
probably a control thing.
The color seems so out of control.
Is it the line that defines the color
or does the color simply allow the line
a place to be?
The color says, "sure, outline me,
run lines through me,
shade me in,
you can even black me out!"
The color does not care.
The color knows it is there
and in control,
I think.
Still caught up in it
so I don't really know
what's going on.
Random thought brought to you by art play.
and this is my photo
I layered them together
some time ago
I have no memory of doing this
but I found it today
I like it
Thought:
I am letting go the structure
that has held me strong.
There is truer strength
in a yellow flower dancing
in the meadow's breeze
I collect moments
in and out of each and every day
sometimes even in the middle of the night
Moments gather
and fill my pockets
They are mostly made of air and light
These moments remind me that I am here
They look and say hey you were there
They are my baggage and too my joy
can be forgotten, but I cannot destroy
There are moments I hold close
and many I push away
To stop the moments from coming
would be to choose a dying day
You see moments multiply
to let you know you are living
As long as you keep collecting
time will keep on giving
I will fall
in every drop of rain
and soak my way into the earth
to nourish every single grain
I will be the force
to break open the seed
and drive the roots down
and send the stems skyward
I will unfold each leaf
and prepare the bloom to burst
I will leap off the petals
and be the color
that will catch your eye
One day
This will be what I do
One day
When I fall
When I am again a part of the everything
"My Mind Nebula" is a colorful cloud that swirls around in my head. In my mind's self-fabricated reality there are actually many different nebula clouds. They are where I retreated when the teachers back in school said I was day dreaming. I fill these clouds with dream, in a form of language that only the soul can read.
We are beings of the outer world; we live by our senses. We measure, categorize, predict and plan everything out. We are driven by knowledge. We are now coming into a time where finding a balance between knowing and feeling will be the only way to thrive and survive.
The reality is, the inner world is as big as the outer. In fact, the inner world may be larger than the universe itself. Then again, it may be the same place altogether. Whose mind nebula do you imagine you are living in?
if the viewer requires clear structure
to move through life.
My intent in creating this
was not to define anything.
The process
was to surprise or awaken me
leaving me with time spent
in a state of play,
following the whims
of the movements of my hand and mind.
Is it art?
In relationship to the vastness of the universe
the question and the image
are just fun, to ask and see and to create.
Go out and play in your universe!
