The abstract

I like creating abstract art. So much of or lives are defined for us that an abstract visual can offer us a moment of freedom. It is a chance for us as the viewer to make up our own mind about what it is we are perceiving. I have met friends who do not like this and would prefer to have most everything they see definable the minute they see it. Like many things abstract art is not for everyone, you have to be willing to let your own life experience and perception connect for a moment with the work. This can be a moment of vulnerability and that often makes people feel uncomfortable or awkward.

These two images were created with the camera. Shooting in the early evening light I shut off my flash and in the low light the camera shutter stays open longer and if I move the camera at the same time I get these great blurred shots. I then put them into the computer over saturate the color and sometimes add other filters to enhance or define line.

I do give names to the images I create, but I won't do that here so they are even less defined. If you would like to see names and more abstracts follow the link below.
