Am I keeping you at bay?
Holding you away

Arms length
Maybe further
I work at this
It is a skill
To keep you all in a place
Out of my face
Across a room
I track your movement
I sense your heat
Moving still
It’s not that I want it this way
I have dreams and memories of the day
We moved with
With in and through
One another
When there was no me
And/or you
No separation
No individual navigation
One
But that overwhelms me
In this form now.
leaves me wondering how 
I get back there
no
just step back
